The Center For Continuing Education Kerala (CCEK)
The Centre for Continuing Education Kerala under the administrative control of the Higher Education Department is offering continuing education programme through its sub – centres. Our college is selected as a sub-centre with the Registration No. CE/A/382/13. I was appointed as the Coordinator of the Centre for Continuing Education in Kerala for the year 2014. (Order No. B2/989/2013 dated: 10/03/2014). CCEK proposes to offer the Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) course and we conduct the same as an off-campus course. The duration of the DCA course is six months with a course fee of Rs. 6000/- . Now 162 students are studying in the DCA course. Among the students 101 students are in the regular batch and 61 students are in the Saturday batch. The students belong to the Scheduled caste and they are from the Anthikad Block panchayat area. The classes started on 28 March 2014 and are being conducted at SIDCO, Kazhanni. Since the students belong to the Scheduled caste the course fee is remitted by the SC Department.
First Batch completed the course and their exam result published on February 2015, we have secured full pass. 41% of students got B+ Grade and 59% of students got B Grade. We started Second batch on July 2015 and are being conducted at SIDCO, Kazhanni. We have 74 students in the Second Bach. It is also from the Anthikad Block panchayat. All students of the Present Bach belong to the Scheduled caste. They also completed their course Exam.
Now CCEK proposes to offer two courses, such as Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) course and Advanced Diploma in Logistic and Retail Management (ADLRM) course. We conduct the same courses as an off-campus course. The duration of the courses are six months with a course fee of Rs. 6000/- and one year with a course fee of Rs.28, 000/- for DCA and ADLRM respectively. Second Batch of DCA completed and their exam result published on March 2016, we have secured full pass. 92% of students got B+ Grade and 8% of students got A Grade. Third batch of DCA course consists of 10 Regular students and 2 Readmission students. The classes started on June 2016 and are being conducted at SIDCO, Kazhanni. First batch of ADLRM consist of 10 students. The classes started on October 2016 and are being conducted at Lace Finishing School, Koorkenchery. We also conducted a computer literacy course for 72 students of our college under the National Digital Literacy Mission programme.
